Airports

The international airport "Zvartnots" created on the project of architects A. Tarkhanyan, S. Hachikyan, L. Cherkezyan, Zh. Shekhlyan and the designer S. Bagdasaryana was put in operation in 1980. The government of Armenia signed on December 18, 2001 the contract with the Argentina company "Korporasyon America" on management of the airport for a period of 30 years since June 9, 2002. At present the airport carries out full reconstruction according to the international requirements. The airport is located in 10 km to the North from Yerevan, has a transit zone. Working round the clock, "Zvartnots" can serve any types of modern aircrafts
